Admission to Schulich Dentistry is based on academic ability and personal qualities, as evidenced by:

1. Cumulative Grade Point Average and 2 years GPA

   • ​Admissions Committee determines minimum requirements for undergraduate GPAs each year

   • Full time study is defined as a minimum of three courses per semester and GPA calculations are completed by application deadline.

2. Medical College Admssions Test (MCAT)

   • ​Applications will be assessed based on the scores from the candidate's best test results 

   • As of May 2017, Queen's School of Medicne no longer accepting any MCAT scores prior to the 2015 MCAT.

3. Autobiographical Sketch

   • ​Categories include: formal education, employment, volunteer activites, extra-circcular activities, awards & accomplishments, publication & research, other

   • There is room for 48 items and submissions are assessed based on the quality of the listed items 

4. Reference Letters 

   • Candidates are required to have three reference letters with accompanying Confidential Assessments forms submitted with their application.

   • Person who is referring you should be able to speak highly of your personal qualities and be able to provide examples 

5. Interview

   • ​Selected applicants are invited for interviews which are held during a weekend in April each year.
