Overview
After fees, overall tuition for each semester is $4727.60 CAD, with a total of eight semesters for the duration of the program
Admission to Ontario Veterinary College requires several things:

Academic Requirements

Guelph requires at least two years of full-time studies in university, full time being a minimum of five coruses per semester

Prerequisite course requirements include 2 biological sciences, 1 cell biology, genetics, biochemistry, statistics and 2 Humanitites/social science

GPA from last two full-time semesters and average of 8 prerequisite courses (being higher than 75%) will be used to consider further entry into DVM program.

Veterinary experience

Can be voluntary or paid and be done with supervising veterinarian in placements.

Goal is to ensure the candidate has a strong understanding of veterinary profession

The more hours an applicants can log, the stronger the applicaiton
-
Experience within Canada and USA recommended and working with different species recommended.

Animal experience
-
Experience whrere a veterinarian does not have to be present
-
Includes working with livestock, breeding/showing various species, working in a pet store, or equestrian activities.

Does not include pet ownership or college/university coruses that involve animals

Referee assessments

Three confidental referee assessments that include evaluative grid and letter that are addressed to Chair, OVC Admissions Committee and signed

Two must be from veterinarians wom you have veterinary and/or animal experience to ensure the candidate is suitable for the profession

Referees cannot be family members, or long standing friends of you or your family, or be employed by you or your family.

Extracirricular experience
-
These experiences do not involve animal contact, but are ones where communication, interpersonal, and organization skills are important.
